Illegal Immigration

Democrat rhetoric on illegal immigration

There’s hyperbole and then there’s hyperbolic hyperbole that is so foul, dastardly, corrupt and dishonest, men and women of good will and candor must stand up and shout, “STOP!”

Fellow Americans, on this day, prominent members of the Democratic Party are deliberately and dishonestly misleading the American People, lying to them about the border crisis.  They are using false comparisons, which are offensive to the sensibilities of any decent person who understands the magnitude of an atrocity like the Holocaust.

But it’s worse than merely equating the current border crisis with arguably the worst crime in human history.  These Democrats are KNOWINGLY lying about the facts surrounding the causes of this border crisis.  As you will see in this posting, some great investigative reporting by Brandon Darby of Breitbart Texas, has exposed these Democrats for this obscenity.

But first, I want to provide you with the quotes from these prominent Democrats, after which, you will see the truth.

California Senator, Dianne Feinstein equated sending the illegal immigrants back to Central America, with turning back boatloads of Jewish immigrants during the Holocaust.

Vermont Senator, Patrick Leahy, agreed with Feinstein by saying, “Think of all those Jews that went to the ovens because we forgot our principles. Let’s not turn our backs now.  I also remind people of a time in the past around World War II where this country unwisely closed its borders to people who were fleeing the Holocaust in Germany,” Leahy said. “They came here, they were turned back, sent back, many of them to certain death in the death camps. That was a sorry part of our history.”

Massachusetts Governor, Deval Patrick said,  “My inclination is to remember what happened when a shipful of Jewish children tried to come to the United States in 1939 and the United States turned them away, and many of them went to their deaths in Nazi concentration camps.  I think we are a bigger-hearted people than that as Americans, and certainly as residents of Massachusetts.”

I feel obliged to remind you that these are the very same Democrats who set up every roadblock they could manage, when investigations surrounding the Obama Administration’s gun running operation, known as Fast and Furious were at a boiling point.  If these Democrats were truly concerned about violence in Central America, where was their concern then?  The truth of the matter is, these are despicable people.  Completely dishonest.  And here is how we know it to be so.

The leaked government report comes right out of an arm of the Justice Department and the DEA.  An agency wing of the DEA known as EPIC, the acronym for El Paso Intelligence Center, reports the following information regarding the flood of illegal aliens from Central America.

The wave of illegals driven by perceptions of benefits and amnesty

In late May, the U.S. Border Patrol interviewed unaccompanied children and migrant families apprehended in the Rio Grande Valley. Of the 230 total migrants interviewed, 219 cited the primary reason for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes or permisos to children and adult female OTMs (other than Mexicans) traveling with minors. Migrants indicated that knowledge of permisos was widespread across Central America due to word of mouth, local, and international media messaging—prompting many to depart for the United States within 30 days of becoming aware of these perceived benefits, according to the same reporting.

A majority of migrants interviewed also noted that they had encountered family units, consisting of a mother and child under the age of 18 during their journey to the United States and that the families had indicated they planned to surrender to U.S. authorities because they were informed that they would likely be released.

The leaked EPIC report further found that there is no evidence that the current border crisis is being driven by fear of violence in Central America:

EPIC assesses homicide trends and migrant interviews suggest violence is likely not the principal factor driving the increase in UAC (unaccompanied children) migration. While CBP (Customs and Border Protection) data from early fiscal year 2011 indicates a steady increase in OTM and UAC migration, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) statistics— within this same timeframe— show a decline in per capita homicide rates in these three countries; El Salvador saw the sharpest decline, followed by Honduras and Guatemala, respectively.

The migration has been spurred by widespread media misinformation in Central America

Migrants cited Univision, Primer Impacto, Al Rojo Vivo and several Honduran television news outlets for helping shape their perception of U.S. immigration policy.
Although EPIC lacks reliable reporting of Central American newspapers broadcasting the perceived benefits of U.S. immigration policies, several U.S. media outlets since June 2014 have identified Central American newspapers that have enticed minors to travel to the United States. For example, Honduran and El Salvadoran press have reportedly advertised the DACA policy, accommodations for detained UAC, and the promise of reunification with family members in the United States.
