The White House is currently in the early stages of planning a summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump in an effort to improve Russian-American relations. Voters are less fearful these days of tensions between the two countries, but tend to think a meeting between Trump and Putin will be good for America.

The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 38% of Likely U.S. Voters believe the United States’ worsening relationship with Russia is bad for America. That figure is down from 50% in March but is in line with how voters felt last April. Just 18% think those worsening relations are good for this country, while 27% say they have no impact. Seventeen percent (17%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
